I gave it 4 stars because I do really like the purse, but I have some dislikes about it. Important to read the upate about the strap at the bottom of my review. The front and backside of the purse is soft flexible leather with enough support to hold the shape of the purse without slouching while it sits on a table. The sides are not leather, but I'm guessing it's a thick nylon fabric. Since the velcro is pretty strong, the double sided zipper makes it easier to position and angle the holster to your needs (even though it's for both left and right handed). If you still have trouble putting the holster in, then cover the Velcro with a long enough strip of paper that I can slide out... Sorta hard to explain, but there is a video review for that somewhere. The purse is divided into 2 large sections for your junk. The divider part of it is very thin and is nothing more then 2 layers of lining. The side of the purse oppose to the firearm has the 2 small open pockets on the inside. I use one for my cell phone and the other for keys. Each open pocket is a different size. The smaller one fits my iPhone w a thin bumper/case just fine. Anything bigger, you could use the bigger pocket. The firearm side area has a typical size zippered pouch inside. Here's my dislike... The firearm I carry sort of bulges out making that pocket a little tighter, so you have to carefully pick what you put in there. Then it also makes it a little hard to reach your hand all the way down into the bottom of the purse on that side.As seen in photos, there is an outer zippered pouch (same side as the firearm). Here's my other dislike, because of the buldge from the firearm, that pouch is rather tight and because the leather is so soft, you will see the silhouette of any items in there and likely to rub into the leather.. That makes the pocket is rather useless other then putting receipts or a grocery list. The firearm area is padded w a thin layer of dense foam to help hide the shape of the firearm. It also helps hold the shape of the purse. The holster that comes with it seems a bit cheap but it does the job. If you have a very small firearm then it might slide out a bit. Maybe you could use a safeypin or Sew a tiny section together with a strong needle to help?(updated) I forgot to add info about the shoulder strap. One side of the strap is leather and you can see where the slash proof wire is in the middle. The other side, to support the soft leather, is a heavy duty nylon webbing (sort of like a dog collar). Pros: the clips are nicer looking then I thought they would be. When eating out and depending on they're of chair, I can unhook it and loop it thru the arm rest or the back do the chair. I refuse to put my purse on the floor eeeww! From the GTM's site you can buy a longer strap and wear the purse across your body for extra security. CONS: the nylon webbing was very rough especially on the edges. It kept catching on some and delicate fabrics like super rough man-hands loaded with dry cuticles (yuck). I ended up taking a nail file and carefully wear it down some (fine sandpaper should work too, but just be careful). I've noticed it's worn down more after a couple months of use. It is still somewhat rough and I still catches on delicate fabrics. I tend to flip the strap around so the leather side touches my shoulder.
