Purchased this tote to lug those essentials to and from the beach. Needed a more masculine looking bag to carry and this one fits the bill. Haven't used it yet because I purchased it in the off season, but on first impression it has that sturdy canvas feel, more than sufficient space for the usuals and a nice zippered interior pocket for the keys, phone, wallet, etc. I gave it a four star rating based on the single stitching. I usually like to see double stitching on carry bags, especially ones made of canvas, but time will tell. I'm confident that this spacious bag will fit the bill for most users.My 10 year old son has been using this on a daily basis for 2 weeks to reduce backpack use and strain. He carries 3-4 periods worth of binders and books and supplies in it at a time, at school. It has been dragged on the school yard and wet, and washed well. The little pocket inside has no support and causes that side of the bag to droop, if there is anything more than a library card inside. so far no rips, stains or threads running. the strap are in a great location so that they will not pull off easily.I absolutely adore this bag. Personally, I use it for everything from carrying school stuff to packing it with clothes for a weekend trip home. I didn't expect it to be so large but, this was the size I was looking for and I enjoy the space. This tote is made very, very well. This canvas material, while thick, is not heavy. The straps are long enough and sturdy enough to actually carry it up on the shoulder. The front pocket is deep and the zippered pocket-pouch inside the tote itself is strong and sturdy. I purchased the tote with the black accents. I really enjoy the bottom of the bag being a color because I can set the bag on the floor without worrying too much about dust being seen. Overall, it is just a tote but, it's a tote done well and a tote done right. Overall, excellent purchase.This is just what I had hoped it would be - large carry all bag - I am taking it on vaction to pack beach towels and to use as a beach bag when I get there. But it will do for shopping bag or taking short trips also- or to throw a change of clothes in the car when going hiking or working out. Good heavy duck (sailcloth) kind of material. Sewn well.This is a huge bag and I like that it can fold flat. I keep it in my car and it has come in handy at the car wash when I need to empty my car, as well as when I have had to return a few things at different locations in the mall. I'm a huge fan of the thick, canvas boat totes from two retailers that start with an 'L' and this is no match for those. I wouldn't re-purchase this if I lost mine, but it is ok and has come in handy.This bag is large enough to hold all of my books, papers, lunch bag, and odds and ends that I need to teach 3rd grade. The bag is well made so it can hold quite a bit of weight. I also like that the bottom is colored so it doesn't show dirt from being set on the floor. THe small pockets are a nice addition. I have similar bags from LLBean and the only difference is that the canvas isn't quite as stiff. Other than that this bag is just the same as the pricier versions. I will definitely be purchasing more.I have bought six of these over the past couple of weeks - this is the perfect bag to leave in the car for those trips to the grocery store. They are strong - well made - and even comfortable to hold when full as the strap has a great feel in the hand - not too thick and not too thin, just right. The hard part was choosing the color! I bought 4 black and 2 red ones - they are all very nice. A great deal of thought went into the creation of this bag - you really can tell!It's even roomier than I had hoped! I purchased this to use as my knitting bag for large projects, like afghans, and it's perfect! The quality of the fabric is good - very sturdy - I haven't used it a lot yet, but I think it will hold up for a long time. I am so pleased with this! I have looked a long time for a nice canvas bag for my knitting!
