I bought this for my husband to use as a tote, but it looks too much like a giant purse. It's still new so can't speak to durability. It's a mid-weight canvas lined with vinyl or plastic -- seems like it will hold up okay. We'll use it for taking goodies to the baseball games, but I will be the one to carry it :-)Update: a few seasons later & confirmed this bag is certifiably durable. It works well for carrying our stuff to the games, and the flat bottom keeps it standing up & doesn't tip over. That's nice -- love it!I ordered this a bit late and knew that I wouldn't receive it in time for mothers day, but it did get lost in transit and Amazon was wonderful to work with and sent out a replacement order, paid for one day shipping, and added $10 to my account towards my next purchase since the order had gotten lost.The bag is great, it's the perfect size to put your essentials for games or a lunch, it's adorable as well and my mom LOVES it! There is a zipper pocket inside and also a front pocket where the NY symbol is!Great tote for the game. Took it to a weekend series and it carried my usual stuff and also 2 bottles of water, an umbrella and a bag of peanuts. The only thing I did was to put a snap on it to keep it closed. I will be taking it to more games and I also take it to the gym.Nice size, not too big, not too small.
